JFK was and will always be the best High School. I am looking forward for a Class Reunion. I've been in the Army since I graduated, but I always manage to stop and visit Guam whenever I pass through. I always manage to pass by JFK, but never had the nerve to go and see the school. Maybe when there is a class reunion, I will be able to see it. My brother and two sisters are also graduates of the School. I received the Web address from a GW graduate and I really thanked him for it, because now I have a chance to find out if my cassmates and friends are still around.

Yo, people, I live in the mountains now but I will always be an Islander! Lots of good memories of Class of '74, great people in that class and in others (earlier and later) that I recall. I remember you, George Servino and Ben Chargualaf, and many more besides. I attended G.W. Junior High (later renamed Agueda Johnson), then JFK and worked after graduation at PDN, KGTF and KSTO before leaving. Lived in Guam from '69 to '79, then came back here for college, stayed close to the old folks in my family and now have a family of my own. I miss the waves, miss hearing Chamorro and Palauan and Tagalog spoken everywhere. Sorry, man, I guess I'm starting to sound like Johnny Sablan singing "My Marianas" ... You can take the boy off of the island, but you can't take the island out of the boy. Esta later, todos.

David Gardner (dgardner@verilink.com) - Class of Class of '73 (GWSHS<grin>), San Jose, California
Hafa Lai? Although I graduated from GWSHS, I taught Biology/Basic Science at JFK in the classroom right over the Principal's office(!) from 1979 through 1981. My Mom and Dad also used to teach there (from 1976 through 1980, English Dept.). But even though I was attending the "school 'cross da hill with the gecko mascot", I had a lot of friends at JFK--classes of '71 through '75. Myrna Sison, Evangiline Hormillosa, John Sanchez, Dave Gumataotao. I'm not teaching anymore--haven't since 1981--but if students would like an insight about working for high-tech companies in Silicon Valley, I'd be happy to be a "e-mail pen-pal" in this regard. Esta later, dudes.
