This year's football season has begun and this year things have change. JFK has added eight additional players coming from GCC. GCC was not able to put together a team due to a lack of players. The following senior players are: Eric Aoyagi, Rodney Cruz, Jason Flores, Philp Siguenza, Anthony Boro, Bernard Cruz, John Camacho and Mike Camacho. The only junior player from GCC is Charles Murphy. GCC comes down to JFK everyday after school to practice. The players from both schools have been getting along very well. Both teams have been working hard in practice. All the players enjoy being part of the team. It gives them a chance to get to know one another, work together, and have fun. GCC Senior Eric Aoyagi says "it feels good to play with JFK." The combination of players from both schools has changed the way JFK players think about GCC "It's an advantage to us; we have a chance to be number one again," said Islander player Howard Starr " It's an improvement to have hard working players," stated teammate and brother Manuel Starr.
